We realize it starts as a numbers game -- the more leads we send to our members, the more chances they have to get booked. This is why we spend so much of our time, energy and resources on bringing prospective clients to our site. But, why the focus on booking?
We know that when our members get booked, we’ve been successful in our mission and their investment in GigMasters has paid off. And while it may start as a numbers game, we know that it ends with making a special occasion even more special. First dances, happy birthdays, festive Cinco de Mayo’s…our service helps make them possible. And that’s what gets us fired up here every single day.
THE VALUE OF FREE
Booking needs to be as easy and seamless for clients as possible. So, we watched closely for the past few years and saw that when members make the booking free for clients, meaning that they built GigMasters’ 5% booking fee into their quote, they are twice as likely to get booked, and the total booking amount is 19% more on average. This isn’t a coincidence.

Based on this data, as well as feedback from our members and clients, it is clear to us that removing the booking fee for every GigMasters client removes a barrier and will make our members more successful.
Starting with your next membership renewal or upgrade, you’ll be opted into paying the 5% booking fee. This will simplify the process for your GigMasters clients, and will significantly improve your chances of getting more bookings and earning more money.
WHY A BOOKING FEE?
From time to time, we get asked why we even have a booking fee – and our response is always the same. Booking fees help keep our upfront membership fees down. The 5% booking fee is charged only when there is a booking -- so we get paid only when our members get paid. This small fee covers things like credit card transaction costs, online deposits and balance payments, and our Buyer Protection program -- as well as the cost of our Account Services team who work so hard to help our members get booked every single day.
